Featuring goddess of vintage pin-up glamour, Violet Jade Grey, join us as we rebuild everybody’s favourite life-drawing session in a whole new space and format.

Dr Sketchy is now an evening session of drawing gorgeous models in fabulous costumes, drinking all manner of libations and winning prizes that you will tell almost nobody about.

As we rebuild the Dr Sketchy to glory, we will also take the opportunity to help rebuild the Philippines after the devastation of Haiyan. Half of all door proceeds will benefit typhoon relief and rebuilding efforts with our partners Gawad Kalinga (www.gk1world.com).

July at Dr Sketchy, our featured model is transgender performance artist and pole dancer, Marla Bendini.

Marla Bendini is a visual and performance artist in Singapore. Born Ong Boon Kok, Bendini Junior in 1986, “Marla Bendini” was created in 2007, an ongoing process of the identity as the “art form”. Her multi-displinary & highly personal works have become her signature, expressing ideas about transgenderism, gender binaries and the dysfunction of social and cultural structures, particularly with her personal physical body as an articulation tool. As of 2011, she is developing Surrogate, investigating the socio-physio- psychological imprints of her art on subjects and audiences.
